MOUNT AND BLADE VIKING CONQUEST TROOP TREE MOD
Skachat Viking Conquest Warbanddeveloped by the people behind the popular brytenwalda mod it was released on the 11th of december 2014 becoming the second official expansion to be published after napoleonic wars. If you want skirmishers or light cavalry, though, you have to cultivate relationships with villages. There are twenty one factions in viking conquest. recruiting from captives (throw a party afterwards, then stash them in garrison overnight) popularity with Pagans so that berserkers seek you out horrible reputation so that outlaws flock to you good relationships with cities and castles So, ways of getting high level infantry troops in Viking Conquest are: It's good for slowly nudging Intelligence based companions to higher levels, and that's about it. Sure, it is a nice extra, but most of your training will be still from combat. The Training skill is of limited use, because it goes only to 5, and even if you get it as high as it will go on all eight of your companions, you will be only training about three or four Tier IVs out of 100 tier IIIs, per day. Even if you are playing a bloodthirsty raider, and your relations with cities are bad, you should not be using the trainer - you should be recruiting outlaws.

So, by the time you can hire a trainer, you can just recruit troops equal to his best efforts. Once you have improved your relationship with the cities where you intend to recruit, and you most certainly should, you can recruit Tier III infantry, in numbers going up to 30 or 40. I only recruit infantry Tier II in the very early game, because any city or castle offers it out of the gate. The trainer is useless, because he only trains infantry (swordsmen or spearmen) and only to Tier III. The refuge trainer in Viking Conquest is absolutely useless. He will only train troops at the bottom of your refuge's garrison list, so if you're training say, spearmen it is a good idea to leave at least one spearman in your garrison, otherwise the newly trained spearmen will go straight to the bottom of the list and jam up the training. When talking to the trainer if you say "yes" to alternate promotions he will create skirmishers, if you say "no" he will train spearmen. Remember that to start training you need to actually walk around your camp and talk to him first. And they tend to take a very long time to start training in vanilla.Īlso, like others have mentioned with a level 2 refuge you can hire a trainer who will slowly train troops in your refuge for you. So you'll need to be a level higher than that to start training them. Even peasants start out at around level 12.
